I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
